This year, I joined up with a group of photographers participating in a Project 365. Sure, take a photo a day? I can do that! Um, it turned out to be harder than I thought it would be. Getting home from work in the dark really limits the photo ops! I started carrying my camera with me everywhere I went and was constantly on the lookout for possible subjects. The hardest part was forcing myself to go outside when it was under 20 degrees and focusing manually with gloves on. Manual focus, what? Yeah. I decided I was going to use my vintage lenses for the month of January, and there is no auto-focus with those. Some days were better than others.
And when all else fails…. there’s always one of our rescue cats to model for me.
Here is January’s collection. Camera: Fujifilm X-E2 | Lenses: Helios 44-4, Minolta Rokkor 58mm f/1.4 and 45mm f/2, Konica 50mm f/1.7, and Nikon 100mm Series E.
